Entry #3 - 24 December 1995

Well, tomorrow will be Christmas and the castle is already starting to feel a bit empty. My parents have already left for the convention about two nights ago. It's odd, having a dental convention during the Holidays but apparently mum and dad have informed me they will have a grand party to make up for it.

They have already sent me my gift. It was a nice set of Jane Austen novels. Emma had always been my favourite story. I think I might start re-reading it tonight before bed.

Oh yes, I would like to thank my Secret Snowman for my gift. The quill was lovely and Crookshanks has been having quite a ball tearing into his catnip. It was very nice, thank you.

Oh...and apparently there was a second gift there, I don't believe it was also from my Secret Snowman. Either way, whomever was the gift giver, thank you. The quill is...amazing and the locket...I really don't have words that could properly describe it but...thank you.

To all of you, Happy Christmas and New Year. I do hope you enjoy your holidays.

I am quite happy to hear that Professor Triffo has been found. It is horrific what she seemed to have gone through and I do send my best wishes to her and her family. I hope she may have a quick and easy recovery.

I am, however, quite upset by the controversy that is being created over Professor Lupin's entrance. I do believe basing him off of his state is simply unjust. We have yet to see him at work and already everyone seems to be basing him off of this state. Yes, perhaps it is a bit unnerving, but I trust in our Headmaster. If Headmaster Dumbledore trusts him, I trust him and I suggest we all do the same.
